Getting there |
| From London Gatwick Airport (LGW):
Distance to Hilton Gatwick Airport hotel is approximately 5 minutes' walk through a covered walkway.
Getting around. The Gatwick Express train departs from the airport and travels to London Victoria Station every 15 minutes, and travel time is 30 minutes. Single tickets cost 14 GBP. From Victoria, visitors can access the London Underground: the station is on the District and Circle and Victoria lines. Regional train services are cheaper and run to Victoria, stopping at Clapham Junction and East Croydon. Regional trains also run to Kings Cross, London Bridge, Brighton, Bedford, and other locations throughout southern England. Coaches depart to London Victoria and other nationwide destinations from the South Terminal (ground floor). Taxis to London city centre cost about 80 GBP and take approximately 70 minutes.
The London Underground (Tube) and buses are the easiest ways to travel within London. Single tickets are expensive, but an electronic Oyster card offers a cheaper fare. Oyster cards can be purchased from ticket offices for 3 GBP (refundable). Daily or weekly travel passes are the most economical way to travel, and are valid on buses, trams, trains, and DLR, as well as on the Underground. Black taxis are available on the streets, but can be expensive. Driving is not recommended for visitors and a congestion charge zone is operated in central London.
Driving directions. From the M25, head for the M23 and leave at Junction 9.
Follow signs for Gatwick Airport, taking a left at the next roundabout, and head for the South Terminal.
Get in the right-hand lane and take the second turning on the right (signposted Gatwick Hilton).
The hotel is on the left-hand side. |
