The Britannia is one of Manchester's premier architectural buildings and is Grade II listed with outstanding details including a balconied stairway throughout the building. The Hotel is a famous landmark and meeting place throughout Manchester and was once the cotton industry's most famous warehouse. The building dates back to 1858 when it opened as the world's original 'Cash and Carry'.
The Britannia Hotel boasts the WAVE bar and bar-rogue, two of Manchester’s most popular meeting places. The bars offer food all day long at affordable prices with great music and the best DJ’s. - Policy Comments : A credit card is required as a guarantee. If the booking is cancelled outside of the cancellation notice period, your credit card will be charged with the full amount of the booking. The only pets that we allow in the hotel are guide dogs.

Getting there |
| From the South - Exit the m6 at junction 19 (Knutsford). At the roundabout, take the third exit a556 (Manchester). Go past Mere Platt Farm. Turn right at first roundabout (m56). Follow signs for Manchester. Go under Hulme Archway to roundabout. Take second left into Medlock Street. Turn right at second traffic lights at G-Mex. Go through traffic lights at McDonald's, into Portland Street. The hotel is on the right, just after Yates Wine Lodge. From the East - Exit the M62 at junction 18 and turn left for Manchester and follow slip road onto the M60. Continue on the M60 for 1 mile until it ends. At the roundabout, take the second exit for A570 Manchester. After two miles, turn left at the Halfway House Pub. After two miles, bear left and follow Piccadilly. From the West - Exit the M62 at junction 12. Follow M602. Get in the A57 lane for Manchester. Follow until Harry Ramsden's is on the right. At traffic lights, turn left into Water Street. Turn right into Quay Street. Carry over tramlines and pass the Odeon Cinema on the left. Turn left at the next traffic lights on to Portland Street. The hotel is on the right, just after Yates. From the North - Exit the M61 at junction 12 to M62. Follow Liverpool directions. Car Parking - The nearest NCP car park is situated on Chorlton Street. Valet parking is also available.
