Getting there
Glasgow Airport (GLA): Approximate driving time is 15 minutes and distance is 8 miles (13 kilometres). The railway station in Paisley is two miles from the airport, ten minutes by taxi or bus. There are eight trains an hour from Monday to Saturday, and five trains an hour on Sundays, running from Paisley to Glasgow Central station. Taxis are available 24 hours a day from in front of the main terminal building and should cost £16 each way. Shuttle buses also run directly to central Glasgow and take about 20 minutes. Buchanan Street bus station is one mile from the hotel, as is St Enoch Centre metro and the central train station. Driving directions: From the airport, take the M8 to the city centre, exiting at junction 19. Stay in the left-hand lane and take the first left up Pitt Street. At the next junction, take the first left onto St Vincent Street. Follow the brown information signs for the Marriott. At the next junction, turn left alongside the motorway. Turn left into Argyle Street. The hotel is on the left-hand side. Bus services are frequent and reliable; tickets can be bought on board. After midnight, night-bus services service the city, leaving from George Square. Taxis are also readily available.
