Getting there |
| The National Express Coach Service operates regular direct services to Cardiff Central Bus Station. Airbus X91 dedicated airport service, supplemented by service number 95, operates between Cardiff's city centre and the airport. Service 345 operates hourly, Monday to Saturday during the evenings. Service X5 operates every two hours on Sundays. Adult single tickets for all these services cost approximately 3 GBP and journey time is 40 minutes. Taxis are readily available from outside the airport (typical fare to the hotel 18 GBP). The hotel is situated in the city centre, which is best explored on foot or by bus or taxi. Prices of bus routes vary with the time of day and according to the number of zones you want to travel in. Taxis are usually easy to find, especially in the busy shopping areas, and most cab fares within Cardiff range from 4 to 8 GBP. The most prominent taxi ranks are at the rail and bus station and at St. David's Hall. A car is recommended for exploring the South Wales countryside.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the B4265 towards Cardiff. Take A4226 towards Bonvilston, then A48 towards Cardiff. Take the A4161 to the city centre and follow signs for the castle. From the M4 travelling west, exit at junction 29 for the A48M. Exit the A48M at the city-centre sign (A470) and follow city-centre signs for approximately two miles. The hotel is in front of you as you reach Cardiff Castle. Turn left to the hotel's main entrance. |
