Bromley Museum
Discover Bromley's past at the borough museum. We can be found at The Priory, an important medieval building next to Orpington library. Throughout the year the museum holds a number of temporary exhibitions and events. We also have permanent displays about the history of the local area. Entry is free! Did you know that over 10,000 years ago woolly mammoths roamed Green Street Green? Or that H G Wells famous author of the War of the Worlds was born in Bromley? These fascinating facts and more are explored in this new gallery about Bromley's past, stretching from prehistoric times to the present day.

Your Place!
Opened in 2004, this attraction has proven to be our most exciting gallery yet! Designed to be fully interactive for all the family, ‘Your Place!' has games, clothes, activities and books from the 1950s up to the present day. It is a place to share memories and experiences, and most of all it's your place to have fun!
