Nakhon Thai Waterfront specialises in large corporate events of up to 500 guests, as well as private parties and weddings. The two-floor restaurant has 90 covers (200 standing), but this expands with the addition of a marquee which has direct views onto the water and across to City Airport. Choose from a varied set menu or a generous buffet menu.

Glass walls give uninterrupted views of Royal Victoria Dock while potted plants and beautiful artefacts liberally placed around Nakhon Thai's two open-plan floors hint at an exoticism mirrored in the fantastic food. The oasis spreads outside on to the waterfront where you can relax in the fresh air surrounded by mini palm trees and pretend the Thames Gateway is really the South China Sea.
On Fridays and Saturdays nights, live music and candlelight create a rather romantic atmosphere. A vast menu details authentic and original dishes from all over Thailand. The talking point, it's worth knowing, is the lobster curry - made fresh every day. Other bestsellers include pad thai, green chicken curry and mussaman lamb. Delicious!
